The EU funded project “Building Urban Intelligent Living Design Solutions” (BUILD) offers 10 WU master students the unique opportunity to join its newly developed transdisciplinary and transnational start-up programme, where students from three European countries and three different disciplines (economics, architecture and nature-based science) create innovative and sustainable business solutions for the cities of tomorrow.

What awaits you?

During a five days team building workshop in Barcelona, 30 students from all three countries will form five teams and start to draft their business ideas. The students from France will share their expertise on nature-based science, whereas the students from Spain will provide insights from urban planning and architecture, and YOU will bring in the entrepreneurial spirit to make it a business.

Along the journey, experienced coaches from all three fields are supporting you and your team colleagues. On top of that, you will work closely with the WU trainers and have regular coaching sessions throughout the programme. At the end of the summer semester, the best start-up will be selected and given the opportunity to get full access to the facilities and expertise offered at the renowned Blox Hub start-up centre in Copenhagen for one month in September 2020.

Travel expenses + accommodations in Barcelona and Copenhagen will be covered by the project.

Step 1: Check your availability for the following dates:

• 28^th Nov. & 16^th Dec. 2019: Online Pre-Meetings with all trainers & students
• 12^th – 17^th of January 2020: Kick-off Week in Barcelona
• March 2020 – June 2020: Business Implementation Phase
• September 2020: One month Incubator Phase for selected start-up in Copenhagen

Please also note: We will choose only 10 students through an assessment process. The interviews for the assessment will take place between 4^th and 8^th of November 2019.
